CONGRATULATIONS, SMM!
SMM Wins Another Award for Suffolk County FRES Campaign
The Communicator Awards “Award of Distinction” (Silver)
Category: Commercials, Public Service
In addition to a Telly Award, SMM has won a Communicators Award of Distinction for the Commercial, “Volunteer to be Amazing,” which was created for client Suffolk County, NY’s Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services. The video was part of a “heroic” multimedia campaign developed to help increase the number of volunteer firefighters and EMTs in the County, with the long-range goal of improving emergency services by reducing emergency response times, decreasing fire-related property damage and decreasing fire-related civilian casualties. As a result of the campaign, over 2,300 new recruits have signed up, and the Suffolk’s Bravest Facebook page has shown a 207% increase in “Likes.” Property loss has decreased by 37%, civilian casualties have decreased by 38%, and call response times have decreased by 30 seconds.
