SMM Advertising announces that Stephen Comando has joined the agency in the capacity of Senior Art Director. Steve’s background includes art direction positions at Doubleday Direct, Nikon, and Graham and Company Advertising. Most recently, Steve was with The EGC Group in Melville, NY. In his role as Senior Art Director at EGC for 9 years, Steve was responsible for a staff of art directors and designers, and led the strategic and executional development of all creative needs at the agency. His work included award-winning web design, print advertising, direct mail, collateral and corporate identity pieces for clients such as Brother International, Sterling Optical, Storage Deluxe, and Briarcliffe College. At SMM, will Steve oversee the agency’s creative team, and will be working with clients such as Travelers, Mill-Max Manufacturing, Eldor Electrical Construction, Bystronic, Suffolk County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services, Artistic Cabinetry and WSHU Public Radio Group. Steve will also spearhead creative efforts related to new business development.

Steve has a BFA in Graphic Design from St. John’s University and continued his education at the School of Visual Arts. He lives in Ronkonkoma with his family.
